Our geek/talk Forums For Publishers & Merchants provides a region for your advertisement at the top or bottom of every page. Your creatives appear on every page in the Bulletin Board. Launched in August of 1998, this is a high quality "Community" with a dedicated and loyal following. We support almost all sizes of creatives and have the unique ability to rotate these mixed sizes in the same region. Maximum file size is 30K. File format is either .gif or .jpg. No flash creatives please. We can also run your HTML creatives at the top and bottom of our geek/talk Forums. We host all creative to maximize performance. We suggest 3 different sizes to maximize your results. Additional data for your creative department:

Rate Procedures

Rates quoted are per month. Minimum buy for these rates is presently 3 months. Maximum buy for these rates is presently 6 months. Rates may increase at the conclusion of your Campaign but existing advertisers may receive a discount if rates increase and a first right of refusal for current placement. We are not responsible for typographical errors on these pages. Rates on this page are subject to change at our sole and absolute discretion.

Payment Procedures - Where To Send Payment

All campaigns must be prepaid in full via US dollars and are sold on a first come first serve basis. We do not issue refunds and all sales are final. The minimum buy for any campaign is three months. The maximum buy is six months. We reserve the right to reject any advertisement for any reason. We do not accept advertising from: "Adult" sites, Pen*s enlargement, drugs, pills, and sites with illegal or objectionable content, sites engaged in "get rich" procedures, any site and or network engaged in TheftWare, and sites selling "snake oil" deals.

Help - FAQ

Q: You require me to pay in advance. Can I trust you?
A: Absolutely. We encourage you to perform your due diligence before you pay. We started selling our own Advertising in 1999 and have an extremely high renewal rate. We operate a real business. We "vent" all Advertisers to insure that their is a reasonable chance of success and reject Advertisers with a checkered past or who engage in morally or ethically reprehensible behavior.

Q: If I purchase advertising, does this provide me with any special privileges?
A: No. We still expect and require you to comply with our Rules and Posting Guide.

Q: A geek/talk member posted that they "don't like my program". Can you remove it?
A: No. If you expect that your advertising dollars will buy you editorial control over our content then we respectfully suggest that you find another site to advertise on since this is never going to happen. We do require details, threads often contain posts from other members who correct another members statements, and we have a formal complaint procedure. We also have very strict registration requirements and abuse controls, which eliminate flammers, cheaters, and agenda posts.

Q: Will you provide an endorsement for my product or service?
A: No. We only endorse what we actually use and never do this in a Campaign.

Q: You banned me, can I still advertise?
A: No. We don't even respond to these requests. Please find another site to advertise on.

Q: Do you sell advertising using the "click/CPC" model or "pay for sale"?
A: No. We only sell advertising on a monthly basis via CPM with a minimum buy of three months. Other revenue models do not interest us.

Q: Why are your rates so high?
A: We respectfully believe our rates are reasonable for a quality site, targeted campaigns, and a very desirable demographic. Some sites charge up to $40.00 per thousand page views. Still not convinced? Use the Overture.com bid tool on "affiliate program" and you will see that the number one listing pays over $7.00 per click! The average cost-per-click is around $3.00 among the top 10-20 lisitngs in Overture. You can exspect to pay about the same via the Google AdWords program.

Q: You sent me an email 6 months ago with your rates. Today, your email says your rates are much higher. Why didn't you hold to your original quote?
A: All advertising rates which we quote are valid for 10 calendar days. During this time we expect and hope that you perform your due dillegence and "fish or cut bait" :) If demand for our inventory increases and general market conditions support this fact, then it's not fair to us to quote below market rates. The reverse is also true in a declining market. We hope you understand the realities of a dynamic marketplace.

Q: Do you offer any guarantees?
A: Nothing in life is guaranteed except death and taxation. We think it's somewhat disingenuous to quote target or estimated click through for an advertiser given the numerous variables involved. We want long term relationships and will do our very best to help you maximize your results.

Q: How quickly can you launch my Campaign?
A: After we receive your payment in full and all the necessary creative elements, we can launch your Campaign in about 24 hours. Please note: we don't launch Campaigns on Saturday or Sunday, which is computed from our location in San Diego, California, USA. We normally don't delay the launch of Campaigns so if you need special timing, we suggest you contact us to coordinate this.

Q: Do you offer any refunds if my Campaign does not produce the desired results?
A: No. All sales are final and no refunds will be issued. Please perform your due diligence before you purchase a Campaign. We do reserve the right to terminate a Campaign any time we wish. For any reason or no reason. This rarely occurs but life is to short to engage in a flurry of false claims. made up excuses, or labor intensive support issues.

Q: I have a great CPC and or CPA program. I want to partner with you. I would like to email you and use vague language and or just SPAM you for these kinds of programs. Is this OK?
A: NO. Is their something you don't understand about the fact that we are not and never have been interested in these type of revenue models? What we will do is treat your email, phone call, or FAX as SPAM and immediately file abuse complaints with your host, numerous black lists, and federal and state authorities. We also ban you from our Forums and tell all our friends in the industry about your tactics.

Q: Can I purchase a "Sticky" post/thread in one of your Forums?
A: No. This type of advertising doesn't fit the procedures we use to monetize the Forums and dilutes the quality and content.

Q: Do you sell Advertising for any other sites you own?
A: Our philosophy has always been "eye balls first" and then sell advertising. We will never compromise the integrity of the site, taint the user experience with too many Ads, and dilute the results of an advertising campaign. Please review our other site: Free-Webmaster-Tools which is a Webmaster demographic. We are currently selling CPM advertising for this site at a rate of $200.00 per month for 40K impressions.
